COMMUNITY MARKETING ASSOCIATE
The people in our community have important stories to tell and lessons to teach.
How will you help them tell those stories?

Acumen
Acumen is changing the way the world tackles poverty by investing in companies, leaders, and ideas. We invest patient capital in companies whose products and services offer important opportunities and choices to people living in poverty. To date, Acumen has positively impacted 270 million lives by investing $115M in 113 innovative, early-stage companies in Africa, Latin America, South Asia, and the United States.

But investing in the future isn’t just about money, it’s also about people. We’ve been investing in relationships for years… connecting with emerging leaders in their own countries—both in real life and digitally—and engaging them in extended collective dialogue, moral inquiry, and skill building.

About +Acumen
+Acumen’s team is building the world’s school for social change—a global learning community for social change-makers. +Acumen began in 2013 with a vision to equip change-makers with the tools, insights, and community to step up and create change. We do this in two ways:

  • We offer free and low-cost online courses that help to democratize access to the best tools to change the systems which keep people entrenched in poverty
  • We find the “best” people and connect them to Acumen and each other at scale

To date +Acumen has reached 400,000 people from 192 countries through its courses.

Where You Come In
The +Acumen community is filled with potential leaders and their stories of success and even meaningful failures. In a field of over 400,000 +Acumen students, we need to identity these potential leaders and tell their stories in a cohesive and compelling manner across our digital properties. This is where you come in: the media savvy storyteller who knows how to build relationships with community, media outlets, and thought leaders. • Cultivate reciprocal professional relationships with key community members,  sector influencers, bloggers, journalists, press, media outlets, podcasters etc...
  • Become one of the “faces” and “voices” of +Acumen in video, live feeds and podcasts
  • Develop compelling copy and visuals for our blog, emails, social media, ads and more
  • Distill a growing library of courses, videos, interviews and transcripts into engaging content
